1996 VS ignition switch.

Hey, I have a vs with a rooted ignition switch, I've also got a vy thats being stripped as a race car, are the switches interchangeable?? I've had a search on here but can't quite find what I'm looking for..

ring a dealer should be same part number if interchangeable

There are slight external dimensional differences that will prevent you from fitting the VY switch into the VS, but you can build a hybrid using the VS's shell and the VY internals. Hey guys, well turns out its the barrel thats buggered, so ill replace that at some stage later on, i just rewired the switch to a new switch and button for starter. Pretty easy to figure out the wiring, but ill post the colors for anyone else that searches for them.

Red - 12v Battery
Brown - Acc
Pink - on/ignition
Purple - Start.
