if i change my diff gears ratio to say 3.7ish to raise the RPM would that help?

Changing the diff ratio is a good performance modification in its own right but The diff gear ratio wont really bandaid changes to your torque curve.

If your car is an automatic, and there is a noticeable loss in low rpm torque, you could always look into a higher rpm torque/stall converter which would allow the engine to get up to its peak torque range faster.
