Have a frustrating intermittent situation where the dashboard warning lights eg: motor warning light, oil light, airbag light, abs and traction lights ALL turn on intermittently but always all the above turn on when starting the car..
Having 40plus yrs as in the electrical industry including AC and DC Electrical (understanding schematic's and nutting out the obvious).. the warning lights turning on during and staying on (occasionally) after the motor starts is damn frustrating.. and noticed the thermo fans cut in and operate after the motor has idled for a couple of minutes...
Original thought was that the ECU had a meltdown, yet over time, physically checking the radiator temp by hand, revving the motor from idling, checking all the fuses, checking for a bad contactor or bad connections under the bonnet etc...
This bloody intermittent problem still pops it's damn head back up after a few days or sometimes few hrs where it all works without the dashboard warning lights turning on after car starts and is in idle mode...
Am after suggestions as to any other possible area's we've maybe overlooked before we get a long barrelled .357 Magnum and fire a few hollow point rounds into the engine block....
Any suggestions are TRULY appreciated fellow VX Commodore owners...
