Hello everyone, first post here, but long time reader. Got me out of a jam many times.
I need front and rear shocks for my SS Wagon. It's FE2, standard setup, not lowered. I'm confused with the part numbers i need. I'm looking at Monroe because I believe they're the OEM, but their part numbers are confusing me.
Here's the GM part numbers I've got from the local dealer: FR: 92223874, FL: 92223873, Both Rear: 92227684.
The Monroe numbers I came up with are FR: 744078SP, FL: 744079SP, Both Rears: 744083SP.
The Monroe rep on the phone told me yet again something different FR: 350632, FL: 350633, Both Rears: 744083SP.
I think the difference in the numbers is just the series (gas vs oil, whatever). Basically I'm after just a direct OE equivalent replacement. Unless I look for NOS (seemingly hard to find at the moment), I need to go aftermarket.
