Hey peeps, just wondering if anyone can help me with a big decision... I want to fit a big cam to my vt clubby but I've heard the 5L's are too costly or too much work and that I might as well just bolt a blower on it, I want more power yes, but the bottom line is I want a lumpy beast of a clubby with heaps of power, I already know that a 5.7 would of been the better choice but I chose the 5L. And I like my car .. Please Help me make my car as though it was shat out of hell!

Yeah i know a blown 5L won't be much power i just love my old commies, money ain't my issue i was just wondering coz i heard a cam that's too big can have a reverse effect, so LS1 must the go then hey? I suppose I'll need hi stall and hi flow cats as well?

A cam that's too big will have no power down low and feel like a slug around the streets, although will be a weapon down the 1/4.

You would be lucky to push 250kw out of a 5L, will get 300kw with an LS1 and can even get around 350kw cam only from an LS3.
