It looks like it belong there and it kinda does when you consider the 2nd gen engine bay was designed for a straight 6 motor.

If you think about it logically, the VN was supposed to have the RB20/30 motor, the RB20/30 came with a factory turbo option (like the VL) so there is no reason to think that Holden hadn't planned for a turbo straight 6 motor in 2nd gen Commodores before it all turned to **** and we got the 3800 V6 (which also came with a turbo in the previous generation).
