Got some different wheels today, ended up swapping the ssv's for a set of 19'' replica sigs. near new tyres all round (90% tread). have some minor rash very light, and one has a tiny chunk out of it. this is one that had some light rash about 1/3rd the way around the lip. sanded back with 600/800/1200, painted and cleared. came up pretty dam good for a backyard job. have another painted and ready to go on, hopefully finish the others tomorrow.

I will get the walls redone or just get the tyres flipped.

not very much of a visual change but went to a genuine rajab plenum over the homemade rajab copy i had on there, also a to4z to replace the chinese turbo that was on it.

and last week noticed there was a slight knock when free reving the motor (sounded like a rod bearing, heard it too many times before lol) so with mallanats only 3 weeks away i pulled the sump off with the motor still in the car and pulled the conrod bearings out to have a look.

no 1, 3, & 4 all looked like this, so i purchased some acl race series rod bearings today and will be chucking them in on sunday, i have another motor which i am planning to build so this is just to get me through mallanats and keep it on the rd while i build the other motor. money is also a little tight so cant afford to build the other motor straight away.

How u pull sump with motor in the car? Thought the oil pickup gets in the way to drop it. Unless u dropped it slightly and undid the oil pickup ?

while i had the cooler piping off (to allow me to just the motor up) we beaded them all and removed the old throttle cable bracket from the cooler pipe, couldnt even tell it was there now.

also made a bracket for my side pipe which will be put on the car for the drags and events. I just put a longer bolt in the passenger seat base (rear left bolt) and mount it to that.
