A VR VS Question for those in the Know

Howdy all
I have a good freind has a VR and the other day a Warning light came on. it looked like (!) with a circle around that he says. Now it didnt stay on long it went off as soon as he braked and hasnt been on since. He looked in the book and says he didnt locate the right pictrue. Anyone here with any Info I can pass on Please ?

that light you described is the handbrake on warning light. maybe it was bumped or not completely off at the time.

connect a jumper to pins 5 and 6 on the connecter below the steering wheel, switch car to "ON" and that light will flash a number of times..

it displays the code in 2's, like itll flash a certaint amount of times, then pause for a bit, then itll flash again,

first set of flash is times 10

so if it flashes 1 time, then pause, then 2 times, thats error code 12

let it go for a few times, and let us no wot code u got

yea thats the check engine warning light (!) , the (P) is the handbrake one, at least i think so :s

nah man, that symbol is the handbrake light...

happens to my car all the time...

the next time it comes on, lift up the hand brake then put it back down, and it will go away...

if i smack the button on the front while im drivin, the light comes on half the time, its prob just a lil loose connector...


not sure why it happens but it does...nothin to stress about...

It also acts as an impending brake application light, this is an early warning of low brake fluid caused by either a leak or worn brake pads, check the fluid level in the brake reservor.
