.. you got some air in the clutch system.
Both my VE Tourers (E1 and E3) did this once or twice a year
yeah, the pedal is easy to press.. you are compressing air
instead of brake fluid.
Check the fluid level and if ok, just take it easy driving around
until your mech is back ...
You might find it hard to actually change gears though ...
