be a whole lot easier if they wrote the whole thing out. Some of them are just stupid. e.g ROFLMAO and ZOMG (what ever the hell that is). These things really piss me off when someone sends a text message and i have to work out what each of the abbreviations mean

pretty much, its just a normal omg with the z added as wank factor. ( kind of like corrollas with Type R stickers, does nothing, but the culprit thinks its cool [ yes like me above ] )

as for typing it out properly, nah. this is teh intanetz, we liek abbv. alot

yes i spelt half that sentence wrong on purpose.

oh if i catch anyone using "an" instead of "and" i ought to kill them ( one member, who knows me personally, does this. you know who you are and i know your gonna try and be mr tough guy but really man, your english is sad like that ).

I can't understand why people have such a poor grasp of the english language. Yes, it is one of, if not the most complex language in the world, but every aussie is taught this as a school subject for 12 years, and most other countries teach this as a school subject also, and generally people here don't graduate if they can't speak, read or write. I know I'm terrible doing this myself, but I only do it when writing text messages to my girlfriend or typing in a hurry on forums such as this.
And don't get me started on all this 1337 garbage...
