if it requires taking the diff apart to move the ABS crap then yeah I will do that. I want to get some work done to the diff before installing it into the car so thats why, but I'm not picky... you may be right it might just be easier to do it that way.

It shouldn't be a problem just strip off the ABS pulse ring and sensors. Just check if there is a mounting place for the ring and sensor though.

it doesn't matter now lol the crap wreckers who said they had the diff reckon they have "lost it" so I dont need to worry about it now.

Thanks though! :)

Nope not an DIY job... you'll need a diff specialist to check the gear meshing is correct after taking it appart to swap the inner stub axles... and if you take it appart to fit IRS inner stub axles you may aswell fit new bearings and have the LSD centre checked... which is pretty much a full recon job.

If you can get a good LSD that hasn't got bearing noises or is loose as a goose for $300 grab it !!! Wreckers around here charge anywhere from $600 and up. Best thing is to look out for a welll cared for VS SS or VS HSV diff.

If you've never driven a car with a LSD in the wet then take it easy !!! The L67 can be brutal with LSD wheelspin due to the low down torque... Tyres squirming and the arse wriggling in the wet at 60 klicks in 2nd gear isn't a safe feeling... trust me !!!

L67 LSD Rulebook
=============
Rule 1 : Dont boost it in the wet if you value your car ! :wax: Some shi+ just dont buff out !!!
Rule 2 : If you bend rule 1... Ask Matty what boost and wet roads do to S/C Calais !

:p
