Hi all,
Put a nokia CK-7w car kit in over the weekend, and now the stereo wont turn off when i open the drivers door. Tried disconnecting the car kit to see if it would make any difference but its still the same. Tried doing a master reset on the stereo as well as checking the options for door accessory control and still no go. The only thing i didn't try was disconnecting the battery.
Its like the stereo has got a mind of its own - it wont turn on/off with the ignition switch either
Anyone got any ideas?

Make sure you havn't wired the memory wire to the main power supply of the radio.

Wired it up using the phone connector under the dash - still does it even if i disconnect the phone connector.
I have checked that and it seems to be correct - strange thing tho, when i use a test light on the connector in the car i get a connection on memory wire, but if i turn the ignition to accessory i don't get a connection on the accessory wire....

It's not the door switch itself is it?. I have a mate who has a vy and often he has to flick the door switch before the stereo would go off. Just a question where did you mount the phone cradle? i also have a CK-7W kit and a manual but haven't put it in yet because wherever i put it its in the way of 1st gear or the pop out cup holders. Cheers

Found the problem - blown fuse! i blew the radio one when i put the car kit in and replaced it ( 15 amp) but there is also a 7.5 amp fuse that blew. Replaced that and bingo, good as gold

azzss - i use the bluetooth connection rather than the cradle, and just sit the phone in the console.Next job is to wire up the holden phone buttons. anyone done this ?

Thanks mate, i was thinking of just buying a bluetooth phone be alot less heartache i reckon. Do a serach on the holden buttons install because i have seen it covered on a crewman (dunno if it was a vy or vz but should be the same). Cheers.
