Adding a Network Drive to XP Start Menu

try this:

open up my computer, then click + drag the hard drive onto the START button and let go. this should add it to bottom of the pinned list on the left hand side of the menu. i don't think you can add it to the right.

Do you have the option to display My Computer as a link? or menu?

right click anywhere on the start menu > properties > start menu tab > customise > advanced tab > scroll down to My Computer and select display as menu. Tick click ok a few times and you're done.

You cannot actually drag anything into the right hand side of the list.
