i went with kings ssl sits at 370 front and 345 rear centre of hub to guard thats with 3/4 tank and approx 40kg in the boot. fitted myself, was quite simple just make sure you get strut bearings before pulling the struts out. they were on avalible at holden when i done mine from memory about $20pr

Once you start going lower than about 30mm you need struts/shocks as well which can be costly, so I just changed the springs to SSL in the front and SL in the rear for a 30mm drop overall. Springs were like $100 a pair so $200 + labour - suited my budget and looks good.

it is abit different the best thing is to install coil overs it handles 10 times better then just having springs put in.

Lowered mine with King Springs and Monroe shocks

Lowered my SV6 2009 with King springs and Monroe GT Sports short shocks.
Used rear - KHRL 152 SSL and front - KHFL 150 SSSL.
Handles heaps better, feels firmer no more body roll. Corners better.
One problem though, the rear seems to bottom out easily.

Just adding to this topic, does a ve commodore require a camber kit once lowered with ultra lows?
