pull the cover thing of the plug to expose wires the place the prons 1-6 while car on u should get a reading of 3.66 ohms is aftermarket afm spec.

yer wit the car running.. when i rev it, the ohms change.. so i did it in park on idle..
ok i managed to get it down to -282ohms.. then it wouldnt change.. lol
the cars running heaps better.. it doesnt idle on 200rpm anymore.. lol
now it sits on around 800 - 1000rpm
the afm still isnt perfect.. but its better..
By the way, i went to the mechanics and asked them how much it would cost for them to adjust it back to factory, and thry quoted me $150 - $200
Rip off ey?

i hate to sound like the uber geek from hell but wheni studied electronics at tafe etc i was alwasy told never measure resistance on a live circuit. But since more than one person says to do it with engine running i will give it a crack. Engine off i got about 152ohms.

I cant help but listen to the failsafes in my head telling me power on = bad

For those interested here is a pic of where to stick ya probes. Someone metioned earlier some weird negative ohm readings. To fix that swap the probes around.

Also as a note when i had the car running i got no readings. i only got them with engine and ignition off.

Cant remember if this is the way the probes go or it they were swapped to get the right readings. Also note blue cap missing to get access to adjustment screw (to left of connector).

pins should be numbered on the top.

As a note to anyone going to try this beware, if something else is out of whack then the ohms settings may do harm. I adjusted the ohms my car didnt like it. It was because my O2 sensor is a little cactus. I would reccomend that if your doing anything more than a minor adjustment you go to a mechanic who has the gas probe that gets stuck up the arse end. Otherwise you really dont know what it is doing.

cheers
steve
