Hello,

I had my car tuned a while back and AFM was disabled. Long story short, I've been back twice now to get it switched back on. First time I went back I had it reactivated for 5 & 6 only however it did not come back on, second time (yesterday) had it reactivated for 3,4,5,6 as per factory and again it won't switch on.

In EFI live it is activated, and the changes were saved. I have run a data log on it and the cylinder deactivation command PID is constantly on inactive.

Does anyone have any ideas as to why this may be? The tuner was unsure why this was occurring.

Is it still physically plugged in at the solenoids? Is the ENG Fuse 4 in place?
BTW it is 1 and 7 on passenger bank and 4 and 6 on drivers side which are deac.

Didn't think to check, will do so this evening! No cylinders are deactivating at present, must be unplugged.

On closer inspection I realised I have NFI where the solenoid is, I looked at the fuse relay and their also was nothing called ENG 4.

I found some images of the DOD solenoid but not where it's located.

Help please

Found it and it's plugged in.

Anyone have further thoughts in this? Still not activating, could it be the vacuum settings?

I thought it may have been due to a failed deac lifter but given that their is not deac signal being sent I'm not so sure anymore.

Fuse block is inside the black plastic box under hood on left hand side. I don't have car with me atm, going by wiring diagram for circuit:

I seriously doubt is the actual circuit. Most likely your dude corrupted one of the parameters accidentally or simply has no clue. There's quite a few places to look as to why it is not working:
All cylinders have been activated via scan tool output control
Engine manifold vacuum low
Brake booster vacuum pressure low
Accelerator pedal position rate of increase too high, electronic throttle control
Accelerator pedal position too high, electronic throttle control
Ignition voltage out of range
Engine oil pressure out of range
Engine oil temperature out of range
Engine RPM out of range
Transmission gear incorrect
Transmission range incorrect
Transmission gear shift in progress
Minimum time in V8 mode not met
Maximum V4 mode time exceeded
Engine oil aeration present
Decel fuel cutoff active
Fuel shut-off timer active
Minimum heater temp low, HVAC system
Reduced engine power active, electronic throttle control
Brake torque management active
Axle torque limiting active
Engine metal over temperature protection active
Catalytic converter over temperature protection active
Piston protection active, knock detected
Hot coolant mode active
Engine over speed protection active

Fault Active or Fault Pending - AFM is disabled for the following faults:
Manifold Absolute Pressure Sensor
Brake Booster Vacuum Sensor
Engine Oil Pressure Sensor
Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor
Vehicle Speed Sensor
Crankshaft Position Sensor
Engine Misfire Detected
AFM Solenoid Driver Circuit

Just reflash either stock tune to see if that works if so then start again or use another calibration known as a working AFM tune and go from there, obviously somebody's turned off stuff they shouldn't have or one of the above sensors are stuffed (unlikely). I'd insist that the person who buggered it restore the function or start again.

Yes I'm currently leaning towards the it was flashed with a tune that for whatever reason has vastly different settings, and as a result AFM won't turn avtivate.

I'm just pissed off because it's quite out of my way to go back there for a third time.

Seriously considering buying EFI live for myself and comparing to another tune with similar mods and AFM active.
