Vt series 2 clubsport 5.7
I've got a vt clubsport that someone attempted to steal and butchered pretty badly, ive had to do a full wiring harness swap and replacement bcm with matching key the car fires up and dies after a few seconds.
I had vats removed from ecu thinking it would be a quick fix but it still fires up and dies after a few seconds.
Can someone tell me if my bcm and pcm will still need to be linked even after vats has been deleted???
Or can someone point me in the right direction of what could be my issue

if you have a no vats ECU it will work with any compatible BCM without any linking through software

Sounds like the immobiliser is still active,
You will need to get your Key re-programmed in.

Hey mate, I'm having the exact same problem, with my Vy. I swapped a new bcmand key, it fixed a problem I had with my blinkers, but now the car is starting then just cuts out. Did you find a solution?

You need to get it all linked,
and the key programmed in again.

Linked by what? What's needed to link it? What needs to be linked?

Bcm and ecu need to be linked. You'll need to go to a dealership or find someone with a bidirectional scan/programming tool to link the modules.
