New battery and terminal connectors fitted, it's been 6 weeks since I've started her and she fired up first pop.

VZ Crewman, VZ Cross 8, & ya mum.
You really should cover the positive terminal as a safety precaution.

Grab some lead wheel weights and place it both sides of the battery terminals for better contact and also help it from moving, just remove the terminals and spread them and slide it over and do it up till its firm.

Thanks and yes I agree about the sinkers to fill in the gaps and as for the positive terminal needing a cover I not see why its been like that for 6 years and theirs noting there that would come in contact with it.

Cover not needed unless your battery not bolted down but then it be un-roadworthy. Just remember if your doing any work like replacing plugs place a rag over it.
