Maybe this isn't news to everyone but me, but I only just discovered that vt-vz door strikers are now available from the aftermarket. These went NLA from Holden a year or two ago and it's the first time I have seen them non-genuine. Time to fix your clunking doors!

That was quick, was only chatting to them about this before Xmas and they were still working on them. Be good to get some comparison reviews.

Also speaking of quick, I ordered 2 sets after the above response, got them today and installed on the first of my cars that needed them. Excellent item. Here's some comparison pics and the review I asked for!

So they look the same as VS door strikers, but the advert says VT-VZ. Is there some tiny difference?

Original VS strikers didn't have the black plastic coating did they?

Well, they look better than worn-out 20 year-old stock. No, VR-VS didn't have the coating, so effectively every worn set out there has just become one. They are still available NOS, or were, and everyone with a worn set of these can give them away for free! I don't know if the plastic coating type can be used of the latch may not close over it.
