Hi there, I am getting to the end of the build where things are starting to get difficult, I am back to the air induction system. The air temperature sensor is my problem this week, I have made an adapter to go between the MAF and the pod air cleaner, the problem is that the sensor out of the air cleaner is a flat surface mounting and adapter pipe is round. I could bend the star retaining clip to match the inside of the pipe and sealastic the out side against air leaks. The issue I have with this is if the clip comes off it will go into the motor. My question is this can I mount the sensor externally in the heat sheild around the pod? Will it still work properly? Any input would be great as plan C is pretty rough.
Thank you
Mr Henry

The I.A.T Sensor needs to be enclosed and as close to the air filter as possible like it was in the original airbox.
You need to source yourself one of these adaptors:
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/VS-VT-VX-V6-COMMODORE-BLACK-POD-FILTER-ADAPTOR-NEW-/172602773804
Quick and easy way to get the job done.
And no risk of loosing the sensors retainer clip down the intake into the engine either.

Thank you very much for that link, that is just what I need. I have spent the last week looking for something like that but could not find one.
Much appreciated
All the best till next time.

Yes. It should be on the side of the air box.

See attached pdf below.
