Nah you can buy from hychill - don’t require a license for some of their products. Lpg is apparently used by some manufacturers these days too.

I read that somewhere too. Be certainly a cheaper gas.

Anything but R134a is for people that try to cut corners.

There is definitely no OEM's using LPG in automotive AC system either, thats for sure.
Sorry man gotta disagree - r134a isn’t great, although it works, it’s long term environmental effects are still uncertain.

Lol yeah I worded that wrong, of course lpg is an automotive fuel. Lpg/propane CAN be used as its a great refrigerant and non o-zone depleating. Plenty of people think it’s dangerous, but in reality it’s not.

There’s another similar flammable gas that is used in modern cars, and this is the one I was thinking of when I made my last post. My mistake.

If you want safety info on using a flammable gas as a refrigerant - there’s info in this link too.

Isn't propane and LPG the same thing? I have filled my oxy gas bottle with LPG to use on my oxy/LPG oxy kit. The gas was out of a car tank that was pulled from the vehicle prior to sending it to scrap metal and it worked just fine.

Lpg is a propane/butane mix - the ratio can vary wildly though.
