So your saying that I will never find an exhaust to make my car sound good?

Hold on hold on.

I think your getting confused with the Xforce 2.25 twin and the Gen 3 2.25 twin.

The Gen 3 is the catback off an SS, which has plenty of baffling to keep the tinnyness down. Cruising around it sounds stock (which is what you want) but on WOT it gets a nicer sound to it.

The SS item will do what you want, without making you look silly.

i have never heard an alloytec that sounds even half decent.. unless there is no sound at all.

would be interesting to see what one would sound like with a stock ss exhaust on it!

I am now looking at getting a different system altogether. It comes off the cats as twin 2 1/4", goes into 2 straight through mufflers, then into a collector into a single 3" resonator at the rear. I was wondering what everyone's opinion was about this system?

Do you have a vid of your 2.25" before you got extractors?? And did it have that fart in a tin noise that everyone keeps saying the alloy tech has? Could you possibly post a link for the vids please??

Hey man sorry about the late reply, been busy.

I used to have a good vid of the twin 2.25 but can't find it.
However,
Heres two vids of the twin 2.25 might help out.
Much better to listen to them on a computer rather than the mobile phone.

And this one below Is of the twin 2.5 xforce on idle cold start.

Like I said earlier the twin 2.25 I had never droned or had the tin sound.

These probably aren't the best to help you make a decision.

I'd recommend jumping on youtube and search up different types of exhausts for the Vz.
Keep in mind thou that exhaust sounds may sound alot different on YouTube rather when your in person hearing them live.

Cheers
Dave.

I am yet to have anyone say they aren't happy with the twin 2 1/4" into 3" single.

I really just wanted to hear the 2.25" x-force one on its own but thanks anyway. And thanks for your helpful tips.

Alright so are you saying that having the twin 2.25" cat back x-force should sound pretty good on an sv6? Even though my mechanic said i would be disappointed with the noise because it is an alloytech?

I have a stock vy ss cat back (twin 2.25) on my vz sv6 with stock cat's and extractors. i have a nice note and no drone. it's never gonna sound like an 8 if that's what your after. do the 2 hole mod and you'll get a nice growl under acceleration

svz ute
look ive did that much research on getting a system for my svz ute
ended up going against what every money hungry exhaust mob suggested in my area
i ended up getting pacey extractors to hi flow race cats to 2 1/4 twin cat back to twin hot dogs
before diff then straight to twin 3 inch tips, anyone who says alloytecs sound ****
is because you bought a shitty chinese x force system and got ripped off my ute sounds soo good inside
and out do the research and youll find whats good for you

I bet it is really raspy too. I did a system almost identical to that and it was loud, raspy, droned like buggery and sounded crap. The guy brought it back 2 days later to put the rear resonator back on.
