In addition to this topic does anybody know a site that gives diagram info ont he stock VX radio from the back? I don't feel like ripping it out just to see what's there.

If anyone got a diagram of the one that fits in the VX berlina please post it.

The stock radio just has a single wiring harness clip into the back. Everything is in that harness, except the arial. There are no RCA preouts.

When it comes to Radar detectors, (legal in NZ ) you have to spend up big to get something that will work and detect well. NZ cops have a trick of adjusting the band they run on every now and then so cheaper radars only work every few weeks! A top of the line Valentine 1 Radar is about $1200 NZ. Only worthwile if your on the open road all the time, and even then hard to justify. The other (less legal) option is radar jammers, which can be set to either read no speed on the cop radar/laser/camera, or a pre set speed. (usually the limit ) Need really to be mounted in the air box or somewhere they wont be found, as here it is legal to posses one, but get caught using it and your charged with "attempting to defeat the course of justice" and that means jail time! Cheaper to take the fine hits methinks, or just don't speed.
