my dash mounted Vifa 3" widebands are probably one of the best mid ranges ive ever heard.

Have you listened to the Hertz speakers recently? I decided on Hertz High Energy for the Merc over a let of other primo brands. Nearly went for the Mille series but i know my wife wouldn't appreciate them vs the cost haha

I had an older set of Hertz MLK 3's (back when they still had ribbon mids) in my first car...still hands down the best sounding car audio speakers I've heard to date. Hertz speakers are fantastic!

Ive got a Alpine PDX-V9 (5 channel) in my VE and its great. Might be a bit underpowered for your setup though
100w x 4 RMS
500w x 1 RMS
same wattage at both 2 & 4 ohms
