Hi, so got a bit of a mix n match going on..
& just wanna know is runing air breathers of each rocker cover gona get me bye till it goes in for tune & pcv plumbing or do these engines definatly need manifold vac to run safely.?
Vz ss ls1 (elec throttle body)
1. New rebuilt engine doesnt have a valley cover outlet, (as original engine did.)
2. Old setup has otr but just had a breather off rocker cover (not plumbed into otr)
Any help apreciated,, need to run in 100k or so before it goes in for tune..

The PCV system is designed to prevent crank case gasses from escaping to atmosphere as is required by law for any vehicle traveling on roads, for race cars it's a different story. Crank case gasses can be harmful not only to nature but also to the components inside the engine, again on a race car where regular oil changes are done this isn't so much of an issue but for a street car with longer service intervals it could be.

So the question really is what do you want to do? I'd recommend some sort of breather system that includes a catch can and doesn't vent to atmosphere.

Yeah cheers i understand the corect way it should run, just trying to get it 'safely runing' till it gets to to shop..
So if i use this setup since i no longer have a valley vent tube it should b fine?.
Run both rear rocker cover outlets to t peice then into sealed catch can, then catch can out let into manifold..
Run front passengers rocker cover outlet into vcm otr (make a fitting entry hole)

So the above pic is how i have set it up, rear out lets t peiced into 'baffled' sealed catch can-then into manifold,,,
Fresh air intake from front rocker vent (yet to b plumed into otr) should i get a pcv valve & place it between cc & intake? To govern flow a bit, seems to b alot of air pullin thru the clean side..
& yes the new cammed engine is up n runing woo hoo!!
