Most likely not unless the filter is dirty.
Probably get more gains going an OTR intake.

Absolutely nothing would be different. You'd have a lower ET by taking a big **** beforehand than this.

Youd also have the added benefit of sucking up any loose debris/dirt etc on the track and sticking it into your engine.

I have always removed the filter from my OTR when at the drags....so do many others also was told by the owner of Powertorque to do it, very rare that something will catch that can't be burn't in the intake

Any restriction to airflow that is removed is going to = an improvement ..
Whether you will notice anything ? Though drag racing is a stop watch even , so ...
As long as your not eating some one else's dust , I dont see a problem .

Yes removing the air filter will give marginal gains. As said above it is a fair restriction on the intake(if it wasnt it wouldnt be an effective filter). You are very unlikely to suck in anything that will harm your engine, its not as if your driving around Clermont in the bulldust, your at a track. When chasing tenths every little bit you can do helps..

You might as well remove the whole air box if you want less restriction.
that would be worse then an air filter.
