I went to the pre game function for anzacs and match at MCG yesterday. My favourite quote at the pre-game was 'avoid war at all costs' after hearing some of the stories.
Yes, 88 thousand standing silent at the MCG was amazing, but singing along to the nz national anthem in my aisle in front of the quiet aussies was a heartfelt moment too. How in times of strife we are one great team together to protect the livelyhood of our nation's.

Awsome mate. I didn't sing the anthem at the service, I'm a kiwi too, but I wished I did after the whole crowd sang the Aussie one after. Standing there in the rain in the dark, it was very moving.

Managed to catch up with a few mates i haven't seen in a while at the Newcastle services. Was a great day and great to see the numbers turn out.
