Hey guys

http://www.importscene.com.au/prod458.htm

What do you think about these bad boys. A guy on another commodore forum is having one installed on his VZ. Cost him $350 all up. It dose not give you more power but it fixes the fuel problem with VZs giving us more out of our tanks of fuel.

Waste of time and money.

The CPU that the VZs run is far more powerfull than that.

Think about it. A standard computer is capable of running a twin turbo 6L V8 LS1 motor putting out over 750rwhp.

The software to tune the VZ V6 commodores will be every bit as powerfull as what they use to tune the V8s.

It dose not give you more power but it fixes the fuel problem with VZs giving us more out of our tanks of fuel.

What fuel problem? Are you talking fuel economy.

The standard computer reprogrammed would do as good if not better than that thing.

For $900 you can have the ECU done? I would rather the $350 option, plus you get a funky controler

Ive never had any experience with a product such as this

but my 2c... do it right the first time and get the std computer retuned

u will find the ecu on the alloytec is more powerful than that on the ls1's etc and look at what the tunning software for those allow you to do

im personally a bit skeptical of anything that 'fools' factory sensors into giving the ecu an altered signal but hey its up to you in the end let us know how it goes

You have a very good point. The only problem is the lack of shops and current technology to tune the alloytecs. PLus the high price.
