WM Caprice with LS3
Evening all,

I have a 2007 WM Caprice and the drivers door actuator finally packed it in yesterday.

Got a new one from the local dealership and fitted it up last night.

However, the internal door lever bow sits proud and the locking tab doesn't close all the way when the door locks.

I checked things out and it looks like where the cables sit in each unit are slightly different; the internal door lever cable seems to be about 15mm too long and the locking tab seems to be about 5mm too short.

I took the new unit out (part number 92290821) and compared it to the old one (part number 92190592) and it looks like where the distances where the cables slot into the levers in the unit to where they clip in are different.

So my questions are;
- Are there different actuators? I assumed that the new one was just an update to the old one,
- Has anyone else had this problem after they've changed their actuator,
- Is there an adjustment that I've missed?

thanks
Russell

Turns out that for an 07 Caprice, you also need to replace the two cables as the new actuators are actually different to the original ones....
