What isn't illegal these days mate?!?! Anyways I wouldn't really class a pod totally in the "rice" category, however they can be extremely inefficient if you don't couple it with a CAI or something... Just having a pod sitting in the engine bay is a massive wank and just draws in hot engine bay air which is just false economy. Put a pod inside of an airbox with a CAI leading into that air box and then your onto something

more people yes... the rest not so much... we just care about out people more.
and a pod is not illegal mod if it is bolted which means custom mount which need to be welded as drilling a hole anywere in the chassis is illegal lol stupid laws
