I don't think the standard FE3 setup has progressively wound springs. See followings pics.
I notice the coil diameter does shrink a little at one end of the FE3 springs though. This may be by design for fitment or to introduce an element of progressive spring rate, or both, I'm not sure. Maybe someone else can confirm.

I was asking about shock absorbers (dampers) not springs.
Progressive dampers have more resistance as travel increases. Digressive are the opposite (more resistance at the centre position).

So you were, my mistake. Then I'd agree with 426Cuda. Subjectively they feel progressive when given a workout.

Has any one tried bilsteins or konies in their VFs over std shocks? I’m thinking of changing shocks only and didn’t want to go the coil over route.

Yep. I've got Bilsteins and Kings. Terrific improvement over FE2. Super happy 2 1/2 years on.
