No - Aussie flag or southern cross does is very different to be "I'm proud to be white". One is patriotism and the other has deep racial undertones to most people.

agreed, everytime i hear proud to be [race] i think 'good on you man, you've worked hard to be that race, you GO be proud of that'

at least with patriotism people can take part in their country and its politics and lifestyle

Personal choice i reckon and if people are offended by the southern cross or flag for the matter why live here? lol

But when it means I'm proud to be .... then there is something wrong with you as some have said.
