Just wondering guys, would an apprenticeship in heavy vehicle mechanics lead to a decent job in mining industry? I know I'd b trained on Caterpillar and earthmoving machinery, so is this a viable way intot he mining industry?

he could start with a Contractor company... the mines use lots of Contractor companies... to drive the big dump trucks 100 + tons you dont need HR lisence as the mines will train you... they are all automatics, about 60 kph top speed..

Honestly, you would be better off finishing your apprenticeship, then looking for something then. You could jag something and then become dual trade qualified.....Thats my opinion anyway.
