attaching wire connections to starter motor

For those who have removed and re-connected the starter motor wiring did you find it easier to come in from the top through the engine bay or up from underneath?

Remove the heat shield, and there is heap of room top or bottom.
But the Battery Cable does get attached in one position ONLY, so it doesn't make contact with the heat shield,

Dont think, "Nu not going to refit the heat sheild" think again,

because the exhaust manifold will COOK/fork the starter motor.

its a 13 ml bolt for both connections to the solenoid. The upper connection bolt is in a tight space so a 1/4" ratchet/socket combo is needed. make sure to disconnect battery before stating work. Removing the wheel makes it easier.
