auto gauge 5" tachometer high perforance

can anyone help me and tell me if a auto gauge can be wired into a vp since it has 3 coil because i went to a auto electican and he said you have to have a special kind of one because it has 3 coils. i dont wanna spend 60 dollars to get it installed and it doesnt work that would be a waste of money. if anyone can help thanks

Umm do you mean auto-meter or auto gauge? assuming in the car has a tachopulse signal the AUTOMETER ONE will work BUT the AUTOGUAGE WONT as it wont be able to pick up the signal without a tachopulse amplifier. Do a search to find where the tachopulse wire is located i beleive its near the passenger side strut tower near the firewall
