Bass Issue

Hi Fellow Jc peeps,

I was driving home from newcastle on the weekend, all of a sudden the bass kept cutting in and out of songs when i was play music on the way home, what could be the cause of this, any ideas of your head ?

How loud was it at the time, how long was it cutting out for, and what gear are you using?

It could be possibly be the RCA leads... my mate had this same problem, turned out it was the RCA leads that came a little bit loose. Otherwise it could be the Trigger cable for the amp, with a dodgy connection...

i am using good gear i ending up shelling out about 3K installed for some focal sutff. i have got a focal amp and sub with a alpine deck. it was probably on abit 22 i guess the music still played but the bass wasnt there any longer, its like the bass just cut out and didnt come back, it came back like once or twice than went dead i guess...

Could be a crap load of things. Just get in there and check all the connections and stuff to begin with...

this is a common issue ! the remote wire from head unit to amp or if its drawing too much power, it will cut out but come back in soon after !

so quite possible i dont have enough power, to drive the sub, not from the amp but from the actual connection.
