Best CAI for VZ SS Gen III?

I have been doing a heap of research & lots of differing opinions have been offered for the best CAI for my SS.

I thought I would throw it out to you & get your opinions/experience to try & help me figure out whats best. What I want out of it is to improve my fuel economy a little & to have a nice (growl)" to it. I have been told to go with VCM, Ramjet and a Growler as I want to retain the maf to not have to worry about insurance hassles.

VCM, Ramjet, X-Air. They are all good, well designed OTR's.

My personal preference is the one i have, an X-Air. But plenty will tell you theirs is the best. Best advice i have for you is pick one, stick it on and enjoy your car.

Personally i love the ramjet can here the inductions sound and does a great job

I got an alloy VCM OTR second hand for $120, washed the k&n filter and pretty much good to go. Came with IAT sensor + pigtails too.
I don't know if there is much performance difference but for me it wasn't worth the extra $400 for a new one, so I went with that.

Thanks for your input guys.

I am leaning towards a VCM or Ramjet I think. Xair is a little pricey for me. I am trying to track down a good used vcm or ramjet, but they are few & far between. Keep looking I guess.

Depends if your going maf or mafless tune . Mafless tune id go like Duspeed , Maf tune id go ramjet

Duspeed is one of the best but being asymmetrical would drive me mental.

I would go for the new VCM plastic OTR, has a larger filter area
