As you can see the X-air has a very large intake/filter area.

I was told by my tuner that he had compared the old VCM type to the X-Air and the X-Air made more power. Make of that what you will, there's probably not a huge difference in them all.

To those who are saying that the DUSpeed OTR needs a mafless tune..

DUS also make ones to suit cars with the maf, so no you don't need to get a mafless tune if you don't want one.

Also, looking at the Ramjet, I cannot see how they can be that efficient at all? I have no data to back my thoughts, just merely an observation of the sharp bends and narrow ducts etc.

Have you see all V8 Supercar intakes? They have bends

The way the Ramjet works is different to the DUS which is why those bends etc work. Take a quick look at the research behind the RAM AIR systems.

Theyre probably about the same in real world applications. Youre never going to feel that couple of KW difference on the road and OTRs mean dick on a dyno.

I would be basing my choice between the DUS, VCM and Ramjet on which one you like the look of.

Personally, i went with the DUS on my old LS1 because it looked so neat and clean. When you get pulled over, having something like looks almost factory goes a long way and with the ability to keep the MAF its personally a no brainer.
