if i use 91ron i get less kms out of a tank and it runs a lot worse in my opinion so i always use 98 and have never had a problem i also get 400-500kms purely city driving, when i used 91 i was lucky to get 350 on a good good tank....

I think that peopl'se driving style has the biggest impact on fuel usage rather than type of petrol used

I run 98 in my VT Series 1 with the Ecotec V6, completely stock and 300000 on the clock. I get around 550-600 around town and about 800-850 if I am careful on the highway.

That has got to be the best economy I have heard of by far, in what has to be the heaviest ecotec powered commodore ever made. What size fuel tank is that? 100L?

I just did the sums and that comes out at 6.4L/100k's highway, and 9.2L/100k's city (roughly) assuming you use 55L of a 59L tank, but I'm not sure size tank is in the VTs which is why I asked. Thats still the best I've seen, but not by as much as I had in my mind.

When my VS was stock I got a couple 7.1 and 7.3L/100k trips with 95ron fuel, but seems like those days are gone.
