Nope theyre not the walkinshaw(i think theyre 1 3/4") ones are bigger than the HSV ones, to the op i run 1 7/8" HM 4-1's with 100cpsi HM(same co who make the walkinshaw gear) cats and it made a pretty big difference coming from std HSV gear.

Did it make much difference in sound adding the hm headers and cats

Definatly...now has a very deep beefy V8 note, bonus is that the HM 3" catback isn't overly loud either when cruising. I can drive on the fwy @ 100kph in 6th and the exhuast isnt that much louder than stock(give it a bootful and its a different story lol), anther good thing is that there's no droning or boominess.

Ok, just so i have all this sorted in my head.
The walkinshaw headers are better than the standard HSV headers?
Bellow is the link to the headers i am talking about.
Walkinshaw Performance - ve Walkinshaw Performance Super Sport Headers

Now the Cats, i haven't been able to find a link to the Walkinshaw cats yet.
Anyone have any links to them?
Or have i miss understood the 3" system from Walkinshaw.
This is the system i was going to get.

Now, dose this include cats or not?
If not dose anyone have links for the cats to suit?

Cheers.

The cat's are attached to the headers in the pic, which makes fitment for walkinshaw pretty easy & gives maximum ground clearance.

Was that video you posted in another forum of you HSV with the headers/cats and 3" exhaust?

Just want to find out really if there is going to be much noise difference from just installing the walkinshaw 3" exhaust and then istalling the walkinshaw headers/cats.

Or will the sound be about the same, just better performance?

Cheers

The Walky headers are not much bigger than hsv would be better to go 1 7/8 and the Walky headers are a fair bit dearer than most

Nope not me i havent posted any exhaust vids of mine, it will certainly will be louder when doing a full system as apposed to just doing catback but it comes down to what size/brand headers & cats you use. For example when i had a full KPM 3" system with 1 7/8 headers on my ssv i found it abit loud @ idle & cruising speeds, but with my HM system as mentioned earlier its not much louder than stock but im running pretty much the same setup just different brand & yes you will gain additional performance by doing headers & cats.

Ok thanks for all the info, learning heaps.

Will see if i can find some vids of a full Walkinshaw system and one with just the cat backs.

Would be nice to hear the difference in noise levels.
Don't want it overly loud, i think the 3" cat back will be just about right
Just like to hear the noise difference with the Walkinshaw headers/cats aswell

Cheers
