I was quite surprised with the times as I was speaking to a few guys at the drags about there times and hp in there cars and found there bigger hp than what I have but doin higher times there was a supercharged 6l with 470rwhp doin 11.6 and a 500rwhp big block ford doin 11.2 s how does this workout mind you there mph were in the 120s to as I was getting into the mid to low 11s with under 400rwhp? all running same et streets,at the end of the day im pretty happy with my times.

MPH shows the power the car has, ET shows the setup of the rest of the car (gearing, suspension, etc)

ok airstrike so for an example you have 11.76@117mph with 470rwhp were as I have 11.4@118mph with 384rwhp wouldn't you have got a similar if not lower time? also with 11.15@131mph as to a 11.2@120mph wouldn't you be down to the 10s? explain cheers

Simple, my car has the power to run 131mph but not the setup or driver to run a 10 second ET.
All of my times have been ran with a stock convertor and 2.86 diff gears. The tune in my car is setup very soft in how it ramps in boost as my car is my daily that I do over 100k's a day in.
My 11.7 was ran with a stock cooler with the initial tune being done during winter so to be honest it wouldn't of been making 350rwkw.
Also after breaking it once I have now developed some mechanical sympathy with my launches lol

i would say say your setup for power and times is pretty much spot on.
With only guessing at your weight going on what has been posted i doubt there's much more time in your car without more power. With a new convertor id say a 20-25% driveline loss would put you in the 375-400hp at the wheels mark you may be making a bit more than that. I'd say you could be comfortable claiming 400hp at the wheels.

thanks for that pub247, well I just bought some full slicks and front runners running the et streets with 19" up front, with the full slicks and the current time of 11.40 how much time could I possibly shave off running the full slick setup

If your not having traction issues with the current setup then you really aren't going to gain anything.
Slight drop in rotational mass on the front's at least but nothing noticeable.

If you want to have better quarter mile time, start pulling some weight out of your car & get that bit more power.

id rather not pull any more weight its light enough as it is without strippin it down to a non street car style , I was just lookin for ways without modyfing anything else keeping streetable and without spending any more to it im not looking for a flat 11 second just under 11.40, also just found out the front runners I have are Michelin 135 15 RADIAL tyre compared to the full hoosier slick is it still legal to race with them even though they are front runners upfront, or do they have to be full slicks on front as well?
