Bizaare Swap: Vn Transmission

Well here's the story. I currently have a VN series 1 with a auto which was bought new (well reco'd and installed) less than 5,000kms ago and is still under its 40,000km warranty. But now I want a manual but have absoloutely no money. My understanding is that the transmission is still worth a fair bit of cash and that an auto to manual conversion is relatively easy (to a mechanicaly skilled person). I have also seen manual transmissions **** cheap (less than $300).
So what I am after is someone to make my commodore manual in exchange for the Auto transmission (all papers and warranty etc supplied)

is the 1990 a series 1? im just assuming so, so i posted series 1.
