Headers cats fitted, only snag was I had to weld 2 O2 sensor sockets to the factory cat back(ve's have them) and I couldn't get the facorty dipstick back in fitted a braided aeroflow unit(have one on my VE)





Clearance under car


Has made the factory cat back sound nicer and louder with a deeper note so happy camper, no check engine light yet either.

Next OTR and tune when a few more kms clocked up 1300 atm

What did you do about the flanges on the factory catback? The picture looks like it's still got the factory flange... I would have thought you'd need to weld a different flange on to mate up the back of the cat...

Just used the factory flanges and gaskets with some goo/gaskets, haven't really driven it for 2 weeks so have to see if its the sound I want, if so i'll weld on some flanges but i'd probally do a X pipe as well so maybe a HSV Gen f system??

I'm loving the 2.5" hsv floor section.
Still contemplating adding high flow cats to the hsv headers, or getting the 4-1ones that HM headers do, as they bolt up to the factory systems.

Got a bit of a bargain Yesterday, a KPM streetfighter VF 3" system for $750 off gumtree 2 yrs old and had done 20000kms no scraps no rattles from mufflers etc.
Fitted up great. Its a system for pacies and cats so short for my Rex headers so have to make up 2 300mm spacers to fit up, being a welder won't take long just have to get flanges in stainless as I have some pipe at home from my VY exhaust build years ago, won't have any bimodal available so will see have it goes have same system on my VE ute so should sound sweet as

Bloke selling had returned his VF to stock to sell and had the family wagon now(kids), funnily Adelaide being so small he lives next to a work mate of all things small world

Also first check up service done 1400kms so far no issues

made up the spaces tonight after work.

Love the sound of the KPM deep tough sound yet not to loud(my ute with 239/247 and kpm loud)
