Hi,

I have just replaced my coolant in the adventra, because it the radiator had a split tank. Now I think a non genuine has been installed.

Can any one post a photo of the bleed point for a LS1 VZ.

BTW. No errors are coming up and not overheating, the temp sits just above the first line.

Any help would be appreciated!!!

Vz ls1 don't have a tank. The bleed screw should be on the radiator somewhere up the top

This is actually true, I guess Adventra would follow suit. So if you have a high level tank like photo below it is self bleeding, if not then there must be a screw. And now you're back at square one...... and I have no idea.

Just another sigestion, there may not be a bleed screw as such, it may have to bleed through the radiator cap. Either way, the vz ls1 are not self bleeding as the overflow tank is separate so the pressurized part of the cooling system has to be air free. Just run the car with the cap off until both top and bottom hoses are hot, meaning thermostat is open and coolant is flowing. After that, put the cap back on and then take it for a drive, check to see if the fans come on and off. Then recheck the fluid level after it all cools down

Yeh that's all I do to my VZ SS never had a problem doing it that way

I would also replace the radiator cap every flush (so every 3- 5yrs)
