how can i tell if a head gasket has blown on my 5ltr, if i take the radiator cap of with the motor idleing coolant spews out the top, with the motor still running i tried topping it up but the water just keeps coming out the radiator, temp wise it stays between cold and half, any help please

If you take the cap off whilst the motor's still running coolant comes out? that's normal.. that's because of the water pump. If your oil or coolant looked milky, that's when I'd be worrying.

You are supposed to check and fill at the reservoir bottle, stop taking the cap off.
Removing the cap lets air in the system.
If it is burping out continuous air bubbles whilst running with the cap off then there is a problem.
\FWIW next time you can start your own new thread.
