boby work around doors help please

ok, i will try to explain.

on the sedan, there is hard plastic (?) around the window behine the back doors.

this plastic is now pitted with paing worn off, i would like to fix this up.
can i sand the surface, use sandable primer to snothe it out, then spray it?

There has been a thread about this before, but it wasnt in great detail. I have the same thing, most do. People have sanded and painted before, but I havnt seen any pics or anything to get enough confidence to do it myself. Good to get some more info on this.

i guess it shoul work ok, primer sticks to plastic, paint sticks to primer...

do you remember the thread? with my sketchy description i woulna know where to look

ok, found this one, mine is the plastic around the windo behind the door, but i guess its the same procedure.
