bonnet wont open

okay this afternoon i went to open my bonnet i pulled the lever and nothing hapened the lever has alot of play which it never did i had a look behind the lever and the cable looks as though its still good. I need to no how to open my bonnet with out using the lever and what is most likely to be problem

ive had the same problem with my vt and vl.....get someone 2 push down on the bonnet while u pull the leaver...u might need 2 adjust the pin that holds it down
