Boot open LED on dash

I would like a little light on my dash to tell me my boot lid is currently open

Aat least once a fortnight i am finding my boot is open it doesnt fly up and i could be driving around with it open and not realising cos it barely jumps up higher than its original position

I can rig up a light but do u reckon theres an instrument on the boot lid that knows that the lid is open and i can rig a led to it??

How can i do it, achieve this goal

You would have to change the boot catch to one that has a micro switch in it, unsure if you could use the VE/WM setup tho cause the striker is on the boot and not the body anymore. The current plunger setup the VY uses for the alarm and light wouldn’t be sensitive enough for what you want

thanks yea i thought i could jump onto the boot light but that dont come totally on when the boot slightly pops open
