Have this annoying scraping like a metal piece is rubbing on the rotor only happens when I'm driving can't get it to do the noise on stands. Have replaced rotors and pads still doing it grrrr I though could it be those clips are loose and moving towards the rotor once driving ? Are the clips suppose to move freely?

Did you bend/distort the 'wear indicators' when fitting the pads?
Some pads have a 'fitting position' = inner or outer, did you check this before fitting?

What's the condition of the callipers?
Did you flush the system and replace with fresh brake fluid?

**I'm not a brake expert, just offering some check points.

Don't think so they seem pretty solid on the bendix pads. It was doing it well before I put new pads n rotors on, calipers have done 190k, not sure about the inner & outer pad as there not marked , didn't do a flush.
* tried re shaping the clips didn't help at all.

What's got me is that it won't do it whilst on stands spinning the wheel only doing it when driving making it very hard to diagnose .

Thanks for the help.

The metal clips that go into the caliper (pad retaining clips) have a little tongue on them. If this is bent it can hit the rotor and cause a noise.

When you jack the vehicle you remove the weight/forces applied to the wheel/hub/suspension components, this changes the dynamics of a rotating wheel compared to driving on the road.

Why would you not do a fluid flush when replacing pads/rotors?

Did a flush few months before hand ....

Have you tried the anti squeal brake stuff? I had very noisy brakes in mine. So I flushed fluids and replaced all four corners with the CRC anti squeal. Its fixed the noisy brakes and now I can hear all the rattles in the cabin ......:banstick:
