Help wanted.
Looking to upgrade the brakes on MY12 SS Front and Back probably just 4 pot, have a set of Vertini Magic 8.5(35mm offset) & 10(29mm offset) x 20" Wheels

I'm worried the Callipers won't clear the Rear wheel spokes, anyone have similar?

Also anyone know what callipers require more space Brembo or AP?

Thanks

Brembo's were used on Redlined and the GXP series around 2010. APs were used on all HSVs (except the GXP series) and require more clearence.

Have you thought about using other brands like Ksport or XYZ brakes?? I know new there a lot of money were the Redline and APs can be sourced from a wrecker.

I did mine a while ago now. Check out my thread which has alot of info from others. https://forums.justcommodores.com.au/threads/brake-upgrade-kits.246042

I don't think those wheels will clear either. I got VF Redline wheels that just clear 4 piston Brembo's.

VF Redlines have:
SSV Redline Sedan & Sportwagon
19x8.5" 48P offset (F)
19x9" 54P offset (R)
Forged and flow formed with polished face or fully painted gloss black based on body colour.
245/40 R19 (F)
275/35 R19 (R) (Source)

Offset doesn't define brake clearance, it's only one aspect when talking one piece wheels. HSV rears are 9.5 57P but I have some 9.5 40P rims, lower offset but they don't clear the brakes.

Each caliper is different, you can not simply ask "anyone know what callipers require more space Brembo or AP?" each model from each brand will be different.

I personally would go AP Racing myself, but both are owned by Brembo.
